Please join us for our second annual Equine Lecture Series featuring experts in equine sciences speaking on a variety of topics relevant to horse owners in Central Florida.
October 7th: Conquering Mount Manure with Jamie Cohen
- Waste isn't waste until you waste it! Learn innovative and environmentally friendly methods for managing horse manure.
October 21st: Poison in The Pasture with Meg Brew
Recently Creeping Indigo has been in the spotlight...but it is only one of several very dangerous, and very common, plants found in Central Florida pastures. In this class you will learn to ID these weeds using living samples and develop a strategy for controlling weeds in your pasture.
November 18th: Equine Dentistry with Boomer Rowles
Learn about the importance of proper dental care for your horse and enjoy a live demonstration of several dental techniques.
December 2nd: Overcoming Common Training Trouble with Joel McQuagge
Gain a new insight in to the way horses learn and understand successful solutions to common training troubles.
NEW DATE December 16th: Horses and the Law with Zach Broome
It is important that horse owners understand the potential legal risks inherent in our sport. Local Ag Lawyer, Zach Broome will discuss the legal code as it relates to horses and help you to minimize risk on your farm.
Please join us for great food, fun and friends at our annual Holiday Pot Luck dinner. Everyone brings a dish and we eat until we just can't eat any more!
